Earthworks: Contour Swales & Spillways

A practical, hands-on workshop in contour swale design and earthwork. We’ll use a laser level and hand tools to re-grade an existing swale trough to approximately 1% off-contour, exploring how subtle grade changes can guide and safely distribute water across the landscape. Depending on conditions, we may also work on spillway design and rock armoring to improve durability and water flow.
